Mason Freeman

Minister to Children & Their Families

Mason is a proud Birmingham native who grew up in the Bluff Park community. His passion for ministry began in the seventh grade when he sensed God's call to serve others and share the love of Christ. That calling led him to attend Union University in Jackson, Tennessee, where he earned his bachelor's degree in 2013.

During his college years, Mason had the incredible opportunity to serve with WinShape Camps, traveling across the country to help children encounter Jesus while strengthening the connection between local churches and their communities. His heart has always been to partner with parents and caregivers as they disciple their children and help them develop a lifelong relationship with Christ.

Mason is married to his wife, Beth, an Enrichment teacher at Crestline Elementary School. Together they have three energetic, joy-filled boys, Micah, Matthew, and Miles, who keep life full of adventure and laughter.

In 2026, Mason earned his Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of West Alabama and now serves as an Associate Licensed Counselor (ALC). He is passionate about blending the hope of the gospel with sound mental health care, equipping children, parents, and families to thrive both spiritually and emotionally. He believes the church can play a vital role in fostering healthy relationships, emotional well-being, and Christ-centered discipleship.

Above all, Mason believes ministry is about building lasting relationships with children, parents, and the entire church family while seeing lives transformed by the grace of Christ.
