Living Hope at Christmas: Day 1

12Dec

We started off our journey with a bus ride to the Atlanta airport compliments of Larry. The flight was long and fraught with a handful of unhappy children, but we made it to Cape Town in time to see the sunset from baggage claim. Austin, Kelsey, and Audrey welcomed us at the airport along with an African band and dancers and introduced us to our wonderful driver Amok. Amok drove us safely to our awesome digs for our time here. The boys and girls are situated on different sides of Sacred Mountain (our digs), so there is no danger of purple-ing. Soon after we got situated, Austin brought us delicious pizza including a South African specialty of bacon and feta pizza with avocado. After we enjoyed eating and fellowship in a beautiful outdoor area, we retired to our different rooms to go over our first devotion of the trip and prepare for our first day in Cape Town. We miss everyone at home and are grateful for everyone's support and prayers! Enjoy the pictures and videos of our travels!!- Claire
